Exercise Variation for Better Results
By now most of us know that changing up our exercise routine is a great plateau buster but, as a trainer I’ve found that when a client has seen results on a routine, they often fight me when I say it’s time to switch things up. I have found a solution. I’m going to show you minor changes you can do to basic exercises that will deliver awesome results.
1. Overhead squat - For those out there who think the squat just isn’t really challenging anymore this simple exercise will dramatically increase the difficulty.
2. Dive Bomber push-ups – If you’re one of those who can do push-ups till the sun goes down try this. It’s an old exercise that has its roots in the military and it’s a favorite of the famous Navy Seals.
3. Dumbbell Squat Thrust - If you think you got to go run to get a great cardiovascular workout, then try this heart pounding exercise. If you do 5-6 sets of 12 reps with short 30-40 sec rest you won’t need to hop on the treadmill.
