Shapely Legs for the Summer
One of the time tested secrets to developing physical health is by working your body’s largest muscle groups, your legs. Working out your legs not only burns a lot of calories but when you work such a large muscle group with a lot of intensity, your body releases muscle building hormones that allow adaptation to take place. Fortunately, these muscle building hormones don’t play favorites with just your leg muscles. They make every muscle in the body strong. An old bodybuilding saying in the gym is that if you want muscular arms and chests then work your legs. Today I’m going to show you some of the best all around leg exercises.
The Lunge- The squat gets a lot of attention these days but I prefer the lunge. It’s basically a single leg squat that requires more balance and uses more stabilizers. It’s also very sports specific so if there are any runners out there this is the one for you. The lunge works every single muscle in the lower body. You can emphasize the butt more by taking a deeper lunge. A shallower lunge will work the quadriceps more. *Try 3 sets of 10-12 reps twice weekly.
Stiff leg dead lift- Focuses on your hamstrings which are the muscles posterior of the leg. It also works the low back as well. An alternate hamstring exercise is the Swiss ball leg curl *Try 3 sets of 10-12 reps.

Kendra Blake:
What’s the best way to build up your arms? Also, how can I get rid of the flabby part of my arms?
One of the best ways to build up your arms is to focus on your triceps muscles because they make up a large portion of the upper arm it’s also a part of the arm that can get soft. Beth is going to demonstrate a great exercise for your triceps called bench dips which also work the chest.
Susan Acosta:
Is it true that it's easier for men to lose weight than women? And, if so, why?
Yes. Men have higher testosterone levels and higher muscle mass both of which aid in weight loss.
